Correct, BUT
Play them as octaves (power chords without the middle string)

Honestly, I just figured it out, and then saw that video. I hate to admit defeat, but that dude was spot on. I used a Rickenbacker and an AC30, and this guy did it better with a Mexican Strat and a solid state Marshall! Bravo.

I don't want to sound sour, but that would sound much better on an AC30 than the raucous sound he's getting from that marshall, plus he's got the rhythm wrong and the riff is played rooted entirely on the A string. he's got the right chords mind you.
