I don' think I can pick a definitive top 5. All I know is that The Stone Roses debut LP is at number one.

In terms of an album rather than 13 or 14 popular hits like definately maybe, be here now is oasis' best album. Try listening to it rather than believing the nme crap we all seem to get spoon fed.

To be fair it didnt say 5 best albums it said your favourite albums and i think west rider is cracking. Personal opinion matey. i was gonna put fame monster down but thought id get lynched :D

Hard question! I hate these and love 'em at the same time.

at the moment it has to be....

Stooges - Funhouse
Arctic Monkeys - Whatever people say...
Beatles - Revolver (obviously)
Primal Scream - Screamadelica
The Clash - Singles box (Mega cheat i know, but as my favourite band i like there whole career over any particular piece)

6-10 would be occupied by an Oasis album(One of the first two most likely), Massive atttack - Blue Lines, Joy Division - Closer, Toots & Maytals - Funky Kingston and a Smiths album (Queen is dead or Meat is murder)

Some interesting choices so far usual suspects keep cropping up... I'm gonna go with -

1 - The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses = Every track could be a single and the playing / production on it's brilliant

2 - Oasis - Be Here Now = For me it's everything Rock and Roll should be it's too long it's over produced there's too many guitars there's not one thing I would change on it

3 - The Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks = Fantastic angry record that changed the face of music. So simple and raw, but amazingly catchy despite being filled with hate.

4 = Oasis - What's The Story Morning Glory = Another album where every track could be a single. Even to this day it still sounds louder and better than a lot of the stuff that comes out today every time I listen to it I'm filled with the energy and swagger that oozes out this album

5 - The Strokes - Is This It = For me it's up there, because it means a lot to me personally I listened to it loads when it came out and I think it's brilliant the whole sound of the album is great in a real retro way. Sadly the Strokes have done nothing anywhere near as good since.
