BEADY EYE RELEASE ANOTHER MIX

I put this mixtape together for my own entertainment towards the end of the last Beady Eye tour. It got a few plays backstage after gigs on the last UK dates, (I remember it being on after a fantastic gig in Blackpool with Hippy Mafia) and then I passed it on to Pretty Green when they asked me for some music to use this Spring in their stores and online. DJ Shadow and Stereolab tunes feature heavily as I was listening to them a lot at the time. One of the DJ Shadow tracks is a really short segment of a much longer live mix CD called Brainfreeze, which I picked up in Melbourne a few years ago - in other words, that's not me scratching it's DJ Shadow haha... get hold of the CD if you can, it's cool. (Also, the intro comes from aDJ Shadow single called High Noon). The first track, which gives the mixtape it's name, is an old Krautrock tune, the vocals may not be to everyones taste, she kind of sounds like Grace Slick meets Johnny Rotten but the band sound amazing. The Black Crowes tune Evil Eye and The Johnny Guitar Watson track are probably familiar to anyone I've ever made a compilation tape or CD for ... no apologies at all to the taste police, who will be after me for including Joan Armatrading... she's a great acoustic guitarist and I dug that CD out after probably 20 years since I last heard it... there's a hip hop cover version of a reggae tune, there's a reggae version of a rock and roll tune... there's Beck doing Black Tambourine, which reminds me (in a good way) of the long long DJ sets I used to do at Bangers and Mash in Sweden on the nights where there was no guest DJ... that's about it. BEADY EYE ANNOUNCE WARRINGTON PARR HALL SHOW

BEADY EYE announce special one off show at WARRINGTON PARR HALL

Beady Eye have announced an exclusive intimate show at Warrington’s Parr Hall on 28th June 2012. This will be their only UK headline
show this year, and tickets will be available via a lottery on the bands website from 9am on Wednesday 16th May. Ticket winners will be
announced via email from Monday 21st May who will then be able to purchase 2 tickets per person for what promises to be a very special night.

BEADY EYE RETURN TO KOREA

Beady Eye have confirmed a second festival date in the far east over the weekend of 27-29th July performing at the Jisan Valley Rock Festival in Seoul.

Tickets for the three day festival are on sale now through Ticketlink. Other acts confirmed to play include The Stone Roses, Radiohead and Elvis Costello.

The festival will mark Beady Eye's return to Seoul having played their debut Korean show at the AX Hall in September of last year. They are also scheduled to appear at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan over the same weekend.

BEADY EYE CONFIRMED TO SUPPORT THE STONE ROSES

Beady Eye are pleased to confirm they will support The Stone Roses at their forthcoming gig in Heaton Park, Manchester on Saturday 30th June.

The legendary Manchester band - comprised of Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani and Reni - are set to play three sold out shows in their hometown this summer. All three nights sold out in a little over an hour - a total of 220,000 tickets - when they went on sale in October of last year.

The Heaton Park gigs are part of The Stone Roses' summer tour which marks their first live shows since 1996. For more information check out their official website HERE!

Beady Eye's gig at Heaton Park is their only confirmed UK performance for 2012.

UK music magazine NME are celebrating their 60th birthday this year and to mark the occasion they are running an online poll to find the 'Ultimate Music Icon Of The Last 60 Years'.

A shortlist of 60 artists who have helped shape music during the magazine's lifetime has been put together and Liam is included alongside many legendary figures.

Earlier this month Liam was voted the Greatest Frontman Of All Time by listeners of radio station XFM. He was also voted the Greatest Frontman by readers of Q Magazine in 2010.

LIAM WINS XFM'S GREATEST FRONTMAN OF ALL TIME POLL

Liam has seen off competition from Mick Jagger, Freddie Mercury, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain to win XFM's 'Greatest Frontman Of All Time' poll as voted for by their listeners.

Liam was interviewed by the station about the win which fans can listen to HERE!

Alex Turner, Morrissey, Thom Yorke and Joe Strummer, amongst others, were also in the running. Check out the full details HERE!

The poll to find the 'Greatest Frontman Of All Time' is the first of XFM's new 'Legend Polls' to celebrate the station's 20th Birthday.

BEADY EYE CONFIRMED TO PLAY FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL

Beady Eye have announced their first live date of 2012. The band have confirmed they will perform at the Fuji Rock Festival at the Naeba Ski Resort in Japan over the weekend of 27-29th July.

BEADY EYE - BEST SELLING VINYL SINGLE OF 2011

Beady Eye's debut single 'The Roller' has been announced as the best selling vinyl single of 2011 in the UK. Follow up release 'Millionaire' was the second best selling, and 'The Beat Goes On' the fifth.

As big fans of vinyl, Beady Eye were insistent that all five tracks released from their Gold-selling debut album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' were made available on limited edition heavyweight 7". Each release came with an exclusive b-side. The band also created a 7" Collectors Box for fans to store them.

Website release 'Four Letter Word' was the eighth best selling vinyl single of 2011, whilst 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' was the seventh best selling album on vinyl.

Beady Eye are currently on a nine date tour throughout North America playing gigs in Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Washington, New York and Boston.

To celebrate the tour North American fans can pick up a limited edition 7" box set of their three singles 'Bring The Light', 'Four Letter Word' and 'The Roller'. The 7"s are backed with three exclusive tracks not available on their Gold-selling debut album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' which they released on their own label Beady Eye Records earlier this year.

The box set also comes with three unreleased live tracks from their KEXP session, an exclusive 13" x 19" poster and digital download of all nine tracks.

The US shows round up nine months of solid touring, playing over 90 gigs across four different continents, for their debut album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' which has been certified Gold. Following Christmas the band will begin work on their second album.

Beady Eye have released the third of their three new mixes today here at BeadyEyeMusic.com.

Anyone who has been fortunate enough to catch the band play live over the past year may recognise it. Titled 'B.E.', it is the nine track mix played before Beady Eye come onstage. If you have been to one of the gigs, you'll almost certainly remember the rapturous reception 'I Am The Resurrection' receives.

Andy recently told www.GrooveShark.com,

'We made a mixtape of music to get us ready to go onstage and we play it in the venue every night, after the support band have come off, so that band and audience are all on the same page by the time we come on stage. It starts at the rock and roll era with Link Wray and loosely follows the thread of time and some of our influences. The tape ends with the The Stone Roses 'I Am The Resurrection', which brings us up to date with the time when most of us in the band started making music. We've used this mix at every gig we've ever done, and it immediately became a part of the proceedings. If we are sitting backstage and hear the crowd are in good voice we know it's going to be a good night.'

Last Monday we announced that Andy had given us three exclusive new mixes, the first of which - 'What The World Is Waiting For…' - was posted last week.

VIENNA GIG CANCELLED

Beady Eye regret to inform fans in Vienna that due to being diagnosed with acute pharyngitis Liam will not be able to perform at tomorrow's gig at Gasometer.

Liam was forced to pull out of last night's gig in Zurich because of the infection. He tweeted: Zurich, apologies for cancelling tonight's gig, I've got a throat infection, absolutely gutted, hope to see you all again soon...LG

BEADY EYE ANNOUNCE UK TOUR IN NOVEMBER

Beady Eye are pleased to announce they will round up a hugely successful year with a string of UK shows for November 2011.

The band released their debut album ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding’ in February which went gold on release and embarked on a sold out UK tour soon after. Since then they have gigged all over the world and played countless festivals including a headline appearance on the NME/Radio 1 tent at last weekend’s Reading & Leeds Festival.

Next week the band (Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock) will travel to play shows in South Korea, Japan and Taiwan and then onto Abu Dhabi, Europe and South America before returning for these UK dates. A second run of appearances in North America will then take them up to Christmas.

Beady Eye are pleased to announce they have added dates in Vienna and Copenhagen to their forthcoming European tour. The band are confirmed to play Vienna's Gasometer on 13th October and Copenhagen's Vega venue on 16th October. The gigs will mark the band's debut in both Vienna and Copenhagen.

Beady Eye are pleased to announce they will be heading to the Persian Gulf for the first time to play in Abu Dhabi.

The gig will take place on Friday 16th September at the Flash Forum, Yas Island in the United Arab Emirates.

It will mark the band's return to North America following their recent sold out gigs and performance on the 'Late Show with David Letterman'. Beady Eye's new single 'The Beat Goes On' is out now. The single - the third taken from the band's gold-selling 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' debut album - features the exclusive b-side 'In The Bubble With A Bullet' and is available to buy digitally through the band's official store HERE! and iTunes.

The single is also available on 7" through select retailers.

To celebrate the release of the band's new single Andy has very kindly given the website two exclusive mixes on the newly created 'Mixes' page.

Last week we unveiled Andy's 'I'm Coming Up!' mix, the first of two to mark the release of 'The Beat Goes On'.

The second of the mixes is titled 'Drifting'. Andy has told us he's particularly pleased with this mix and describes it as 'Morning-after music'. It features acts such as Scott Walker, Jimi Hendrix and some classic Peter Green-era Fleetwood Mac. Check it out HERE!

Beady Eye have announced they will be performing at Zurich's Volkshaus venue on 11th October as part of their European tour this autumn. It will mark the band's first ever headline show in Switzerland and follows their appearance yesterday at the Gurten Festival in Berne.

Beady Eye have covered the Elvis classic 'Blue Moon' to help launch the new Manchester City football kit made by Umbro.

The new kit features a soundwave graphic across the front which was taken
from a 19 second recording of the club's fans singing 'Blue Moon'.

Liam said, "I've been a City fan since I was a kid so to be involved with the launch of a new kit is colossal. Manchester City fans are known for having a lot of style and the new shirt looks mega. I love the soundwave idea and the Mod-inspired collar looks proper smart.

'Blue Moon is a top tune and has been City's song for as long as I can
remember. It's been covered by loads of people but the only good one until
now was the one Elvis did. I hope the fans buzz off our version and sing
along to it at the stadium.'

BEADY EYE RETURN TO AMSTERDAM

Beady Eye are pleased to announce they will be heading back to Amsterdam this October as part of their forthcoming European tour. The band are confirmed to play at the Heineken Music Hall on October 18th.

The gig will mark the band's third visit to the country having played to sold out crowds at the Paradiso back in March and the forthcoming Lowlands Festival in August.

Beady Eye have announced they will be heading back to Germany in October as part of their forthcoming European tour. The band are confirmed to play:

At the end of June Beady Eye's website launched a new page to host all of the band's mixes. To mark the page going live Andy gave us the mix he played at the recent Pretty Green gig in New York. The mix, 'Eastbound And Down', can be heard HERE!

Beady Eye will be headlining at this year's iTunes Festival, taking to The Roundhouse stage in London on Tuesday 5th.

For the first time iTunes will be streaming the Festival shows live through their store and the official Festival app.

Beady Eye are due to take to the stage at approximately 21:10 (UK time) on Tuesday and the full show will be available to stream live. After the show the gig will be available to view through the iTunes store and app.

The video for the single was filmed at the band's recent performance at the Isle Of Wight Festival and is now available to view below and at the band's YouTube channel HERE!.

Fans of Beady Eye will remember the band appeared in an exclusive session for Channel 4's 'Live From Abbey Road' back in February.

During the session the band recorded an extra three songs for the programme which are set to broadcast tonight, Wednesday 29th June, at 23:50 in the UK.

Many fans will already know that Andy, as well as playing guitar for Beady Eye, also enjoys getting behind the decks and doing DJ sets. Recently he performed at Pretty Green's first club night and also created a mix especially for the release of Beady Eye's last single 'Millionaire'.

Beady Eye were among several acts to appear at a recent fundraiser for the Red Cross Japanese Disaster Benefit at Brixton Academy. The evening raised £163,262.97.

During the evening many of the performers signed a Japanese flag which is set to go up for auction in aid of the Japanese Red Cross on May 16th. The winner of the auction will have their name written on the flag by the members of Beady Eye.

JAPANESE DISASTER BENEFIT ON UK TV TONIGHT

On Sunday 3rd April Beady Eye were one of several acts to perform at a benefit to raise money for the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal. The Coral, Graham Coxon, Paul Weller, Kelly Jones, Primal Scream and Richard Ashcroft all played sets to a sell out crowd at Brixton Academy.

Highlights from the gig will be broadcast on UK's Channel 4 tonight at midnight. The 50 minute programme will feature performances from each of the acts.

The event raised £163,262.97 for the Red Cross.

LIAM MEETS INSPIRATIONAL TEENAGERS AT TEENAGE CANCER TRUST UNIT

Liam Gallagher visited the Great North Children's Hospital Teenage Cancer Trust Unit in Newcastle today to meet with patients and staff.

Whilst there, Liam presented a cheque for £40K on behalf of his Pretty Green label. The charitable donation came from the sales of a limited edition t-shirt Liam designed earlier in the year.

Talking of his visit, Liam says:

"Those young people are inspirational, I hope that this makes a difference to them and that it has helped raise awareness of teenage cancer. Teenage Cancer Trust is Pretty Green's chosen charity and we will continue to support them."

Liam and the team from Pretty Green would like to thank everyone who purchased the Limited Edition Teenage Cancer Trust t-shirt and pin badge package.

Teenage Cancer Trust Nurses deliver new opportunities and excellent services for young people with cancer and their families.

Background to the Great Northern Children's Hospital:

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie officially opened Teenage Cancer Trust’s new state-of-the-art unit in Newcastle in May 2010. They were joined by The Who frontman Roger Daltrey CBE and local star Joe McElderry.

The unit is the result of a £1.7 million fundraising appeal and will provide care for 13 to 18 year olds with cancer from across the North East and Cumbria.

The new unit in Newcastle includes 10 in-patient beds and will provide a home from home for many young people and their families. Unlike ‘ordinary’ hospital wards, it has been designed specifically with teenagers in mind. It includes a recreational room, kitchen and dining area, a study, parents’ room and kitchen, a complementary therapy room and chill out zone plus access to media facilities such as the internet, TV and music.

JAPAN TSUNAMI APPEAL / 'ACROSS THE UNIVERSE':

Last Sunday 3rd April Beady Eye were one of several acts to perform at a benefit to raise money for the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal. The Coral, Graham Coxon, Paul Weller, Kelly Jones, Primal Scream and Richard Ashcroft all played sets to a sell out crowd at Brixton Academy.

Beady Eye would like to thank all the fans, artists and everyone who made the day possible. The event raised £163,262.97 for the appeal.

Beady Eye have also recorded a cover of The Beatles track 'Across The Universe'. Proceeds from the track, which is available to download until Sunday 17th April, will also go to the benefit. Fans can download the track HERE!

The video for Beady Eye's new single 'Millionaire' is being premiered at the band's Facebook page now. It was shot in Spain whilst the band had a day off between the Milan and Madrid dates on their recent European tour.

Beady Eye have announced they are releasing a cover of The Beatles' 'Across The Universe' which they performed live during Sunday Night's Japan Disaster Benefit at the Brixton Academy, London. The concert also featured The Coral, Graham Coxon, Paul Weller, Kelly Jones, Primal Scream and Richard Ashcroft. Beady Eye closed the show with their first ever performance of 'Across The Universe'.

The day before the charity event, during an 8 hour session, Beady Eye went into RAK studios to record and mix their version of the song from The Beatles' 'Let It Be' album. Beady Eye have today made the track available to download through their website until Sunday 17th April. All proceeds from the sale of the track after VAT, credit card fees and mcps, (62p) will go directly toward the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal.

Beady Eye have announced that as a result of the continuing challenges being presented in the aftermath of the Japanese Earthquake & Tsunami they have been forced to reschedule their Far East tour of Japan and South Korea in May.

They will be rescheduling their sold out tour of Japan and their debut gig in Seoul to take place in September. Please keep checking the website for further details.

KELLY JONES ADDED TO JAPAN BENEFIT LINE-UP + XFM TO BROADCAST

Kelly Jones has been added to the bill of the Japan Disaster Benefit show taking place this weekend at Brixton Academy. The Stereophonics frontman will be playing an acoustic set and joins Richard Ashcroft, Beady Eye, The Coral, Graham Coxon, Primal Scream and Paul Weller for what is sure to be a legendary night.

XFM Radio have also confirmed they will be recording the show for a live broadcast on the evening featuring live performances and interviews.

The show was been hastily arranged to help benefit those who have been affected by the recent earthquakes and subsequent tsunami in Japan. It was announced on Tuesday 22nd March, and tickets went on sale for this very special one-off event at 9am on Friday 25th March and sold out within minutes. Doors will open at 5.30pm on Sunday.

Beady Eye’s Liam Gallagher said “We’ve always had close ties with Japan and great affection for our fans out there. We’ve been saddened by the horrific TV images of the disaster. Our hope is that this benefit concert can help the people of Japan.”

BEADY EYE TO PERFORM ON 'LATER...'

Beady Eye are set to perform on 'Later...' on BBC2 in the UK. The band will perform on the first episode of the new series and will be joined on the show by Elbow, Anna Calvi, Raphael Saadiq and The Tallest Man On Earth.

The show will air live at 10pm on Tuesday 5th April, then repeated with extra performances at 11:50pm on Friday 8th April and Sunday 10th April at 12:30am.

London is set to stage a very special one off concert in aid of Japan Earthquake victims.

With images beamed worldwide as they occurred, the horrific tragedy that beset Japan in recent days has affected everybody.

In response, a collection of Britain’s finest rock musicians have heeded the rallying call and come together to present a very special one off event on April 3rd at London's Brixton O2 Academy.

Featuring Richard Ashcroft, Beady Eye, The Coral, Graham Coxon, Primal Scream and Paul Weller, the show has been hastily arranged to help benefit those who have been affected by the recent earthquakes and subsequent tsunami in Japan.

Almost 8,500 people have died in the disaster with thousands injured and with nearly 13,000 people still missing the need for an immediate response is immense. The Japanese Red Cross has been working on the ground since the disaster struck.

The show will take place at London's Brixton O2 Academy on April 3rd. Tickets go on sale this Friday 25th March at 9am, limited to a maximum of 4 per applicant.

Beady Eye will release their second single ‘Millionaire’ on 2nd May 2011. Beady Eye recently met up with journalist John Robb for an in-depth chat about their debut album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding', which was released on Monday. The 17 minute interview, which was filmed at London's Gore hotel, is featured on a CD being given away free with this Sunday's News Of The World.

Beady Eye are pleased to announce they will return to Germany to play the Grosse Freiheit 36 in Hamburg on Monday 30th May. Tickets will be available from Monday 28th February through www.eventim.de and www.adticket.de at 9am (local time).

The band have also announced that due to overwhelming demand for tickets at Cologne's Live Music Hall the gig has been moved to the city's larger E-Werk venue. All tickets for the Live Music Hall gig will be valid at the new venue. The extra tickets for the gig go on sale Monday 28th February through www.eventim.de at 9am (local time).

Beady Eye have announced they will be playing this year's Hultsfred Festival in Sweden on Thursday 14th July.

Beady Eye recently recorded a live session for Seattle radio station KEXP. The session aired to great feedback from the band's fans and station's listeners and is now available to listen to HERE!

Beady Eye play their first ever gig next Thursday 3rd March at Glasgow Barrowland as part of their inaugural tour which takes in two nights in Glasgow, Manchester and London. The six dates sold out in under 30 minutes when tickets went on sale at the end of last year.

Beady Eye are proud to announce they will be headlining this year's Teenage Cancer Trust on Friday 25th March at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Teenage Cancer Trust is a long established charity set up to help young people fight cancer. You can read more about the charity and make donations at their website HERE.

The band have been keen supporters of Teenage Cancer Trust through the years with Liam, Gem and Andy having performed at the event in 2002 with Oasis and both Liam and Gem making several appearances between them through the past decade of gigs.

BEADY EYE TO RELEASE FIRST SINGLE!

‘The Roller’ will be the first single to be taken from Beady Eye’s debut album ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding’. It will be released on 7” single on the 21st February but will also be available from 24th January on iTunes. The 7” features a brand new song on the b-side titled ‘Two of A Kind’.

Liam and Gem will be on UK radio tomorrow morning when they sit in with Radio 1's Zane Lowe to spin a selection of their favourite tunes in the 'Versus' slot. Zane will also be playing 'The Roller'. Check it out from 8am.

The single will also be available to listen to at the band's YouTube channel HERE! from tomorrow morning as well as your favourite radio stations around the world.

The video for ‘The Roller’ will be premiered in the UK on Channel 4 at midnight (local time) on the 10th January, and promises daredevil stunts. The band recorded the film in sub zero temperatures in Cambridgeshire in December performing in a ‘Motorcycle Wall of Death’, one of only two in the country, complete with motorcycle stunt riders. After the Channel Four premiere fans can watch the video at the band's YouTube channel HERE!

This is the third track Beady Eye have made available for fans to hear after giving away a free download of ‘Bring The Light’ via their website in November, and premiering a video for ‘Four Letter Word’ on Boxing Day on NME.com and here at the band’s website. The songs have been viewed over one million times since appearing on the band’s site. All songs will be on ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding’ which is released on 28th February 2011 on Beady Eye Records.

FOUR LETTER WORD - WATCH THE VIDEO ON BOXING DAY!

At 10am UK time on Boxing Day (December 26th) Beady Eye will be streaming the premiere of the video for their song 'Four Letter Word' on NME.com and here at BeadyEyeMusic.com. At the same time they will also be making available a very limited quantity of heavy-weight, numbered 7" records of 'Four Letter Word' featuring the exclusive track 'World Outside My Room'.

The 7" will be available exclusively through the band's OFFICIAL STORE. It will be on sale for £3.49 and is limited to 2 purchases per fan. You can pick up your copy HERE! from 10am on the 26th.

'Four Letter Word' is the second track to be heard from their forthcoming album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' which is released through the band's Beady Eye Records label on 28th February 2011.

The video, filmed in London on a cold day in November, was directed by Julian House and Julian Gibbs.

BEADY EYE ANNOUNCE ALBUM DETAILS!

BEADY EYE release their eagerly anticipated debut album ‘DIFFERENT GEAR, STILL SPEEDING’ on 28th February 2011 on Beady Eye Records. The album features 13 brand new songs written by the band and was recorded at RAK Studios in autumn 2010 with producer Steve Lillywhite.

A taster for the album, ‘Bring The Light’, was made available for fans on the 9th November here at beadyeyemusic.com and was downloaded or played over 350,000 times in 24 hours. The VIDEO has received over 600,000 hits since it was premiered a week later.

The band (Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock) also put their first UK tour on sale on 26th November with tickets selling out within 30 minutes. They will be joined by Matt Jones on keyboards and Jeff Wootton on bass for these dates and the European shows which follow the UK gigs. The full details of the UK dates can be seen HERE!

Last night Pretty Green held its first-ever dedicated club night at the Garage in Islington, London. Beady Eye's Andy Bell was one of the DJs performing at the event.

Andy's very kindly let us grab his set from him and you can listen to it below. He managed to cram in some great tunes from the likes of Kid Koala and DJ Dangermouse as well classics from The Beatles, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones!

BEADY EYE have announced details of their first live UK shows in March 2011.

After releasing their first piece of music - which NME termed an 'event release, the likes of which we haven't seen in aeons' - the band (Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock) will be giving fans a first live taste of their premiere album in a series of concerts in Glasgow, Manchester & London in March next year, which is proving to be one of the most hotly anticipated live debuts the UK has ever seen.

The video shows the band as they will appear on tour with Liam on vocals, Gem and Andy on guitar, Chris on drums accompanied by Jeff Wootton on bass and Matt Jones on piano.
